Raith
Rovers and league leaders Airdrie shared the spoils in
an entertaining draw at Stark's Park.
The result maintained the Diamonds 10-point gap over Rovers
but gave hope to the chasing pack not in action.
Raith's
Spanish winger Nacho Novo opened the scoring on 31 minutes,
running onto Darren Henderson's pass before calmly sliding
in his 13th goal of the season.
The
home side's joy was short-lived however as Kevin James
bulleted a header into the top corner of the net for the
equaliser just two minutes later.
It
was Airdrie who held the advantage at the interval when
Neil McFarlane's shot deflected off Paul Browne and bounced
passed Sammy Monin.
Raith
applied the pressure in the early stages of the second
half and on 52 minutes Andy Smith's glancing header from
a Scott Crabbe free-kick found the corner to bring his
side level again.
Both
sides had chances to win the game, the best falling to
Airdrie but Owen Coyle's shot was cleared off the line
by Jorge Zoco.
