Airdrie
stay top on goal difference thanks to a solo effort from
top scorer Owen Coyle in a battleing 1-0 win in Dingwall
over Ross County.
The
league leaders Airdrie took an early lead to shock the
home fans who were looking for County to repeat their
win of last weekend.
In
the fifth minute, Craig McPherson took the free-kick wich
was knocked down by on-loan defender Kevin James for Owen
Coyle to rattle in his fifth goal of the season.
Coyle
should have made it 2-0 but County keeper Tony Bullock
pulled off a great save.
County
came back into the game in the last 20 minutes of the
first half with John McQuade controlling things, but failed
to find the back of the net.
Both
sides huffed and puffed in the second half but there were
no more goals for the fans to cheer.
